What am I doing in Spain

I tend to just say I'm teaching English, but it's not quite that simple/complicated (teaching's no joke).

I am a CIEE program participant working get money get paid as a Language and Cultural Assistant which is a part of Spain's nationwide multilingual initiative. I am not in charge of a classroom, but I will help both students and staff develop speaking, listening, reading, writing skills, and cultural understanding. However not being in charge of a classroom  means I'm technically working  part time; around 12 hours. Which means I'll have a lot of free time I'll be filling up with side tutoring to make ends meet.

When I'm not teaching or tutoring I will be involved with Centro Familiar Cristiano, the church I visited when I there for spring break in 2011, helping out where needed, be it with the youth, English services, set up; anything really.

In January I will also hopefully be connected with Raíces which is on hiatus until the director returns from the States, along with interns Clay and Shane.

All that being said everything is subject to change and I will try and keep you updated.
